It depends on the room. Laminate is hard-wearing, scratch-resistant and costs less, which suits bedrooms, lounges and landings well. But it has a wood-fibre core that swells if it gets wet, so for kitchens, bathrooms and utilities we would point you at LVT instead.

Usually, yes. We need to see and prepare what is underneath, because laminate laid over an uneven or unstable floor will creak and the joints will open up. We check what is there at the free survey and tell you what it needs.
