Wet Room Flooring in Lowestoft
Wet room floors fitted across Lowestoft and Oulton Broad, tanked and welded to the same standard we apply at home in Yarmouth. The single-storey stock here makes genuine level-access conversions far more achievable.
Wet room fitters serving Lowestoft
Lowestoft has a lot of bungalow stock, particularly around Pakefield, Carlton Colville and Kessingland, and that matters more for wet rooms than for any other floor we fit. A ground-floor bathroom on a solid floor is the easiest place to get a genuinely threshold-free finish, because the falls can be screeded into the slab rather than built up on top of it. Much of what we fit here is a bathroom being converted so somebody can stay in their own home, and the brief is nearly always the same: no lip at the door, and a floor that grips when it is wet and bare.
Where there is an occupational therapist or a main contractor involved we work to their specification, and we can supply the product data and slip ratings needed for sign-off. If the work is being funded through a Disabled Facilities Grant, we are used to the paperwork that comes with it. Want the full detail on this service? See our Wet Room Flooring page.

What happens
How a wet rooms job runs in Lowestoft
- 01
Free survey
We check the substrate, where the drain sits, and whether the falls already exist or have to be formed.
- 02
Specification and quote
Slip rating, drain detail and any level-access requirement agreed in writing, itemised, before anything starts.
- 03
Tanked and formed to fall
Substrate primed and tanked, gradients formed or corrected so water runs to the gully and never to the door.
- 04
Welded and coved
Laid as one welded sheet, coved up the walls and clamped at the drain, so the floor is a single sealed surface.

Wet Rooms in Lowestoft, answered
Yes. We are based in Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft sits well inside the area we work in, along with Oulton Broad, Pakefield, Carlton Colville, Beccles. We cover the NR32–NR33 postcodes and the villages around them.
Yes, and it costs nothing. We bring the samples to you so you can see them in your own lighting and against your own décor, rather than under showroom spotlights. There is no obligation to book anything afterwards.
We do not publish a fixed price list, because the figure genuinely depends on the room, the subfloor and how much preparation it needs. We measure at the free home visit and give you an itemised quote, so you can see what every part of it costs before deciding.
Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. That means a threshold-free floor with no lip at the door, generous falls to the drain, and a covering rated for wet barefoot use. We fit to that specification regularly, including work funded through Disabled Facilities Grants.
Both, and the waterproofing is the part that matters. We prime and tank the substrate, form or check the falls, and seal around the drain with a clamped detail before the covering goes down. A wet room floor that has only been surface-laid will eventually leak into the structure below.

What Our Clients Say
“ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!, struggling to find somebody to fit wet room flooring for years, Compass Flooring came up through a 'find a builder' site. I cant even express the quality of the work, and how friendly they are. The care taken, the superb workmanship and expert ability to cover every fine detail. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I have this company saved for future flooring, including my next carpeting project. I cant thank this company enough.”

“We used Compass after they were recommended to us and couldn’t be happier with the service from start to finish. The new flooring has been laid to a really high standard and was very reasonably priced, especially considering the quality of both the flooring and workmanship. Would definitely recommend Compass to anyone looking for a reliable flooring contractor.”
Darren Crowe
“Very simple and fuss free company to deal with. I was recommended by a friend who had recently used these guys and I. Glad that he did. I sent a request via their website and I was promptly contacted by a chap called baron. One of his team then came to mine with samples of laminate but I was advised to go LVT due to my dogs and heavy foot traffic. Extremely grateful for their honest advice and perfect execution of the job. Thanks again guys!”
